Digital Boost Development Grant In High Demand

As strong advocates of digitisation of business and knowing the real benefits it brings we’d like to talk about the Digital Boost Development Grant.

The Grant was launched on 11 January and due to high demand was suspended for applications by 5pm on 12 of January. We predict there will be further digital funding as the Scottish Government is committed to helping businesses adopt digital technologies and improve their digital capability.

Finance Secretary Kate Forbes said:

‘The firms that have coped best during the pandemic are invariably those that have been able to adapt with the help of digital tools.’

We recommend you keep an eye on the Digital Boost Programme website to be alerted to further grants.

About the Digital Boost Programme

A £10m fund is available for businesses, based in Scotland, looking to enhance their business digitally. It is funded by The Scottish Government in conjunction with Business Gateway and its Digital Boost programme.

About the funding

  • Businesses who are VAT registered can apply for grants of up to £25K. For VAT registered businesses all VAT costs are excluded from the grant sum awarded.
  • Businesses who are not VAT registered can apply for grants of up to 5K

It is worth highlighting grant recipients will be expected to contribute at least 25% of the cost.
